With everything that is happening with the economy, one naturally wonders about their own situation and how (if) they will be personally affected. We seem to be ok for the moment (famous last words?). Company I work for just got a big round of funding last quarter and sells a low-cost phone system that can be easily marketed as a "recession-buster".

Is anyone else besides me tiring of the hype around Apple events?

As I type this Apple is announcing a slew of new products, services, updates, blah blah blah.

*Yawn*

I love Apple products. We own an eMac, iMac, iPod, iPhone, MacBook Pro, and more. I love OS X, I won't use any other OS at home (unless I have to for work, like testing in IE), but the fervor around Apple events has gotten absurd.

That's not entirely true, but good coffee places are FAR and FEW between here in SoCal. Actually, the food scene down here pretty much bites (pun intended) in general (we come from San Fran, so before you start getting uppity with me, remember that I can lay a foodie smackdown on you before you know what hit you.)
